Dr Marta Gonzalez-Aregall is an Associate Professor of maritime logistics and sustainable development at the Department of Business Administration at the School of Business, Economics and Law, University of Gothenburg. She is also an affiliated researcher at the Universitat de Barcelona and a visiting professor of the World Maritime University.
Her main research areas include maritime transport, port economics, sustainable shipping, transport infrastructure regulation, and transport resilience.
She has served as a project manager and key researcher in various Swedish national research projects and has published peer-reviewed academic articles in well-established academic journals. She has conducted research stays at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver), University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain) and UN-ECLAC (Chile).
