Gang Chen is an Associate Professor of Shipping and Port Management at World Maritime University since March 2021. Prior to the current post, he worked at the University of Southern Denmark, Aalborg University and Shanghai Maritime University. He holds a bachelor degree in International Shipping Management from Dalian Maritime University, M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration and Ph.D. in Logistics Management from the University of Southern Denmark.
Research wise, Gang Chen studies port and shipping operations management primarily, as well as a number of contemporary issues in the maritime industry. He is currently a Co-Editor-in-Chief of Cleaner Logistics and Supply Chain.
Gang Chen had MSc programme management experiences as Programme Director at Aalborg University and Head of Specialization at World Maritime University.
